New appointment at Palamon Capital Partners

Palamon Capital Partners, one of Europe’s leading mid-market private equity firms, has expanded its investment team with the appointment of Jaime Enrique Hugas as Principal.
Jaime-Enrique Hugas, a Spanish national, joins Palamon from Morgan Stanley where he was Executive Director of the European Media and Communications Corporate Finance Group based in London, having previously worked in JPMorgan’s Advisory and M&A team in London and Madrid. Hugas will be strengthening the firm’s existing capabilities in Spain while also contributing to the firm’s investment programme throughout Europe.
Palamon’s investment team, which is based in Palamon’s London headquarters, now comprises 11 investment professionals from eight different countries and targets mid-market investment opportunities across the UK and Continental Europe. The Firm, with €1.1 billion of equity under management, is currently investing its second Pan-European fund, Palamon European Equity II, L.P. and has invested and committed almost 40% of the fund.

Recent investments made by Palamon include Cambridge Education Group Ltd, one of the foremost providers of pre-university and English language teaching in the UK, and Si Collection SpA , an Italian debt collection business and the take-private of Retail Decisions plc, a group that has a global reach in payment cards and fraud prevention.
